FAQ — Arcam AVA35 AV Amplifier
How does the flagship AVA35 compare to the AVA25 model?
The Arcam AVA35 AV Amplifier increases per-channel power output to 120W RMS @ 8Ω (versus 100W on the AVA25) and adds a vibrant 6.5-inch high-resolution full-color front panel display for artwork and metadata display.
How many speaker channels can the AVA35 power directly versus process?
The AVA35 directly powers 7 speaker channels using its high-current Class G output stage. Its internal DSP decodes up to 16 discrete channels (e.g., 9.4.4 or 7.4.4 layouts), allowing system expansion by connecting external power amplifiers to its pre-outs.
How many subwoofers can be controlled independently by the AVA35?
It features 4 independent subwoofer outputs, allowing individual gain, delay, and equalization settings for optimal bass integration via Dirac Live Bass Control.
Is a Dirac Live calibration microphone included in the box?
Yes. The amplifier comes complete with a factory-calibrated USB measurement microphone and connection cabling to run precision Dirac Live calibration routines using a Mac or PC.
