True Sound, Real Immersion
The new Panorama 3 builds on the proven heritage of its two forebears. As with those models, the Panorama 3 is designed to offer great sound from a single, elegant component with no need for additional rear speakers or a subwoofer.
It offers a complete, high-quality Bowers & Wilkins listening experience with both music and films, complete with all the room-filling benefits of immersive Dolby Atmos Elevation sound.
Panorama 3 has been specifically designed to be as low-profile and unobtrusive as possible, making it easy to integrate with today’s low-height TV stands. Internally, it’s based on a similar scalable platform to the new Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin. That will allow it to be developed and upgraded with new features, such as multiroom capability, in the near future.
That also means all the key features found in Zeppelin are present too, including AirPlay 2 and aptX Adaptive, alongside Spotify Connect plus integrated Alexa voice control and integrated streaming service support from a wide range of providers, all accessed by the Bowers & Wilkins Music App
Panorama’s primary TV connection is via a simple HDMI eARC input, ensuring both ease of use with partnering TVs and support for a wide range of audio formats. An optical input is also fitted.
The Panorama 3 is the first Bowers & Wilkins soundbar to offer support for Dolby Atmos spatial audio, and it will also accept Dolby TrueHD content where present.
It uses a total of 13 individual drive units in a 3.1.2 configuration. First is a dedicated left, center, right arrangement of forward-firing drive units, each with twin 45mm midrange drivers partnered by fully decoupled 19mm titanium-dome tweeters.
This forward-firing configuration is joined by twin upwards-firing 45mm Dolby Atmos Elevation drive units, each specifically designed and optimized to deliver the best possible immersion with spatial audio soundtracks.
Bass, meanwhile, is offered by a pair of 80mm subwoofers mounted on the top of the enclosure and sharing a substantial volume within the cabinet.
Bowers & Wilkins Music App support
Customers will use the Bowers & Wilkins Music App for all set up functions and also for day-to-day user interaction with music services.
This brings together a wide range of music services under one platform. Currently, that includes Deezer, NTS Radio, Qobuz, SoundCloud, TIDAL and TuneIn, with more services expected to be added soon.
Just search for the artist, album or song you want to hear and you’ll be offered all the available options for that content across all the services you subscribe to.
You also get access to our specially curated Playlists, with carefully selected songs chosen by our acoustic team.
The first multiroom Panorama
The Panorama 3 will be enabled with multiroom functionality. User of this feature will be able share music with multiple Formation Enabled products, the New Zeppelin and the Panorama 3.
Note: Panorama 3 will not have the ability to partner with other Formation-enabled products within the same room or space. For example, it cannot be partnered with a Formation Bass to create a 2.1 system.
