The R3ic is the perfect in-ceiling match for any R-Series Home Theater, where sacrifices to the perfect audio experiences are unacceptable, and perfection is the only path forward. Patent pending design, with directivity control derived from our patent pending DPC, creating a frequency response that matches and sounds like a world class speaker.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS
R-Series subs – Trickle down technology from our flagship D-Series, we’ve developed a lineup of single driver based subwoofers. Ground up drivers developed by our team of engineers. Glass fiber composite diaphragms, multiple aluminum shorting rings, massive magnets, multi-layer Nomex spiders and lightweight aluminum voice coil wire are the key ingredients – Proprietary nonlinear modeling techniques allow us to simulate all these components and then optimize for real world driver performance – free air and in box. Further refinement is done with the aid of our Klippel laser measurement system to dial things in. Powered by our new 1.0kW amplifier, all functions and safeties are controlled by a 48-bit data bath DSP and 32-bit ARM M4 Cortex processor, able to react in microseconds ensuring sonic accuracy. All R-Series subs share our 2.4” LCD touchscreen display and ability to control advance settings using our App.
The downloadable control app allows set up and adjust of the R18s from your listening position. There’s three modes to choose from (cut, boost, or THX), and set the 10-band parametric equaliser to help smooth out its response in your room. Three individual presets allow easy switching between movie/music listening.
The R18s provides unbalanced RCA inputs and outputs, as well as balanced XLR inputs and outputs. Other than a power on/off switch, there are no rear controls on the R18s, all controls are via the app or the touch screen mounted on the top of the subwoofer for ease of use and installation.
